the strongest of bodies
i am a river
always moving
ever changing
my waters flow
through dry lands
spawning new growth
Iin desolate places
i am a river
pushing onward
in my own direction
finding another part
of me in each new place
you may try to catch me,
block me, stop me
even capture just
a handful of me
but
you will never
be able to take
all of me

I liked this poem. I really admire poets and songwriters. For some reason, I just can’t write like that even though I wish I could. I write mostly short stories, dabbled in screen plays, and now attempting to write novels.
Keep smiling,
Yawatta Hosby
Thank you, Yawatta, for your kind words! My advice to you is to keep writing! The more you write, the more you will develop your writing style. You can do anything you put your mind to…always remember that!
Best,
Kim
